• briefing interested parties on my long-term vision for the Everyman
• engaging in creative dialogue leading to a closer link between the theatre and the local acting and creative community
• beginning the development of an Everyman acting company/community with regular workshops, play readings, development processes, talks, special offers, gatherings, etc
Details are below. I look forward to meeting you.

ACTOR TO DIRECTOR: AUDITIONS (by appointment)
| Thursday 26th January |
10.30am -1.00pm - Booked Out |
| 2.30pm – 5.30pm - Booked Out |
| Friday 27th January | 2.00pm – 6.00pm - Booked Out |
One on one 20 minute meetings where director and actor can chat about the actor’s career to date. The actor can then present an audition piece. The audition piece should be of the actor’s choosing (no longer than 4 minutes in length) and should best represent the kind of work and role the actor sees themselves as being suited to. Time allowing, the director would also be happy to see either a contrasting audition piece or musical number (unaccompanied unless by recorded backing track on CD) should the actor like to come so prepared.
It should be noted that the director is not currently casting and that these auditions are purely on a get to know basis.
CREATIVE CONVERSATIONS
| Wed 25th January | 10.30am – 1.00pm - Booked Out |
| 2.30pm – 6.00pm - Booked Out |
One on one 45 minute meetings between the director and creative designers (Set, costume, LX, Sound, etc). Ideally the discussion should be centred upon the creative’s portfolio or website portfolio. Otherwise it would be valuable if original photographs, designs, etc be provided. Projector not available.

GET INVOLVED
There a number of ways that you can become involved with the theatre – from active participation to mutually beneficial support.
Volunteer
A unique feature of the Everyman Palace is that our front of house ushering team is made up entirely of volunteers. In recent years our front of house volunteers won the Arts & Culture category in the Lord Mayor’s Community & Voluntary Awards.
If you are interested in volunteering as part of our front of house team please download this application form and return it to info@everymanpalace.com or by post to Everyman Palace Theatre, 15 MacCurtain Street, Cork.
Every seat tells a story
Sponsor one of our new seats and have your name (or that of a loved one) engraved on the back of a seat, plus a favourite Everyman memory recorded.
Royal Family
The Everyman Palace Theatre would like to welcome you to our Royal Family. This is a membership scheme which offers unbelievable value for money to theatre lovers who want to make a trip to the theatre a regular event. For just €250 per year you are entitled to one pair of tickets each month (based on our standard full price of €25 per ticket this package has a value of €600).
For companies we also have a package for €500 which gives you two pairs of tickets each month.
Please note we can only extend this offer to shows that the Everyman has control over. Therefore we are not in a position to offer complimentary tickets in a situation where a promoter has hired the theatre from us. In particular this means that we are not able to issue tickets to the Jazz Festival or to once-off gigs such as concerts or stand-up comedy. However we still have a great theatre line-up each month. We send you a list of eligible shows for each month and you decide which show and which night suits you best. (Some months there will be only one eligible show, some months you will have three or four shows to choose from).
If you would like to join our Royal Family please download this form and return it to Eimear O’Herlihy, Everyman Palace Theatre, 15 MacCurtain Street, Cork, eimear@everymanpalace.com, 021 4557821
Pat Murray Bursary
From 2008 to 2010 the Everyman Palace Theatre, Thomas Crosbie Holdings and Cork City Council sponsored the Pat Murray Bursary which facilitated the development of an emerging theatre artist through specialised study or work placement. Each year one bursary with a value of €14,000 was awarded.
The Pat Murray Bursary was awarded by a panel of three independent representatives nominated by the funding bodies: the Everyman Palace Theatre, Thomas Crosbie Holdings and Cork City Council.
The inaugural Pat Murray Bursary was awarded to set and costume designer Deirdre Dwyer in December 2008, by Tony Award winner Bob Crowley. Thanks to the bursary Deirdre was able to study Theatre Design at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff.
The 2009 Pat Murray Bursary was awarded to playwright Jody O’Neill. The bursary enabled Jody to embark on a mentorship with Graham Whybrow (former literary manager of the Royal Court), travel to international theatre festivals, undertake research and develop her writing during residential periods at the Tyrone Guthrie Artists’ Centre in Annaghmakerrig. Jody’s play Celebrity was presented at the Project Arts Centre Dublin in January 2011.
The final bursary was presented to lighting designer Sarah Louise McColgan who is studying Technical Theatre and Stage Management at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London. The gifted designer, Pat Murray was a former member of the Arts Council and a member of the Institute of Designers in Ireland. He worked in theatre at all levels, locally, nationally and internationally.
The Pat Murray Bursary was created for a three year period only and was established in memory of the late designer, and as a link to a new generation of theatre practitioners.
