The application process for The Pat Murray Bursary has now closed.

The Everyman Palace Theatre is delighted to announce The Pat Murray Bursary for 2008.  Pat Talbot, Artistic Director of the Everyman Palace Theatre announced the bursary to a capacity audience during the gala concert, Remembering Pat Murray on Sunday December 2nd, which brought together the worlds of opera, ballet, theatre and dance in special tribute to the great designer.

The Pat Murray Bursary is to facilitate a young theatre artist, be it set, costume or lighting designer, or actor or dancer, in the furtherance of their career through study or special work placement. The value of the bursary will be €14,000. This is very generously sponsored by Thomas Crosbie Holdings, Cork City Council and the Everyman Palace Theatre. 

Speaking at the concert Pat Talbot said, ‘I have great pleasure in announcing the bursary in memory of Pat and as a tangible link to a new generation of theatre practitioners, something he cared passionately about.‘
